Founded by Cheryl Roder-Quill, simplefuture — formerly angryporcupine*design — is a small, yet nimble design studio located in sunny San Diego. Capabilities include identity design, print collateral, packaging as well as special event graphics and custom invitations.

With clients ranging from nonprofit organizations to startups, large corporations to small mom & pop businesses, Cheryl’s expertise is scalable to the size of any client and adaptable to the content of their product and services. Whether you are a small company expanding your market or a large company tightening your message, simplefuture has the talent and experience to help you reach your goals.

Cheryl brings 35+ years of professional design experience to each and every project. Upon graduating from THE Ohio State University Department of Design in 1988, she started her career working in Columbus (OH) for Fortune 500 companies such as The Limited, Bath & Body Works and textbook publisher, Macmillan / McGraw-Hill. In addition to running an independent design studio in Columbus (OH), Cupertino (CA) and Park City (UT), Cheryl has worked as a staff designer for several small to medium-sized design studios in Pittsburgh (PA) and the Silicon Valley / SF Bay Area.

When not working in the studio, Cheryl can be found volunteering, traveling, reading, enjoying the outdoors, attending music festivals and concerts, and creating, designing + hand pouring small batch retrostalgic candles for her other business, Sonicglow.
